Olympus with their OM-1, Panasonic coming with the GH6, Fuji soon with their XH-2:  The crop sensor cameras are finally making a push for full frame glory.  When the Sony A7S III and Canon R5/R6 were announced, micro four thirds and APS-C fell behind pretty hard.  It's been many years since the crops have released something modern.  But that's all about to change...
