Summary

Edinburgh day. After working out the ULEZ zone and finding a free park-up about 30 minutes from the city centre, we set off on foot and let Edinburgh do its thing.

It took a little while to adjust to the busyness after months in the Highlands, but we fell for it quickly. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, an art gallery visit, more things to look at than we had time for — and somewhere in the middle of it all Aurimas disappeared and came back with a Jellycat alien Emily had wanted for ages. Solid move.

The walk back to the van became an e-bike ride after Aurimas spotted hire bikes along the route — 30 minutes on foot turned into 10 minutes of considerably more fun. Back at the van, Aurimas attempted a new recipe for dinner. It didn’t go to plan. A second dinner was made. We don’t need to discuss it further.

Edinburgh - absolutely worth it. Even the cooking situation.
