Summary

Day 22 of our Van Life Unfiltered 30 Day Series.

We woke up to another cold morning not far from the very top of Scotland, ready to continue our journey along the North Coast 500.

Our first stop of the day was Duncansby Head Lighthouse, where we braved the freezing wind for a short walk to the incredible Duncansby Stacks. The views were unreal and we even managed to spot some seals from the cliffs.

From there, we headed to one of the most iconic locations in the north - John o' Groats, for a quick stop, a few photos and a wander around.

But the real highlight came next.

We made our way to Dunnet Head, the actual northernmost point of mainland Britain. With incredible views over the North Atlantic, this felt like a proper milestone moment on our journey.

After lunch overlooking the ocean, we continued along the NC500 and finished the day at Melvich Beach, where we found a stunning stretch of golden sand with powerful waves crashing onto the shore and even spotted a couple of seals resting nearby.

To end the day, we found a peaceful campervan spot on a working farm, surrounded by animals, countryside views, and a much calmer atmosphere after a day at the very top of Scotland.
