I then explain how the dovetail actually works, why the long sliding plate matters so much compared to standard quick-release plates, and how it improves balance on tripods, studio heads, and shoulder rigs. The video includes a real-world camera demo showing how quickly you can fine-tune balance on a fully built rig without tearing everything down.
