Summary

This is a video retrospective covering Teyon's work doing video game adaptations of classic 1980s film properties. It reviews Rambo: The Video Game, Terminator: Resistance (along with the Annihilation Line DLC), Robocop: Rogue City, and Robocop: Unfinished Business. The focus of the analysis is on what aspects of the original work the games choose to adapt, how they fit in with the broader canon, and how the studio has improved over time. It also looks at how nostalgic media of the past reflects the anxieties of the present, like how dystopian satire has become less distant over time. Spoilers throughout. Content warning for brief discussion of sexual assault.
