Summary

We're turning our new Fiat Ducato into a Mediterranean cottage on wheels, with a log burner, an incinerating toilet and a REAL STONE WALL! In a van?! Yes. Here's the full 3D layout reveal and every design decision behind it.

After 3 years living in our low roof 2012 Ducato, we're starting a brand new Fiat Ducato van conversion in a much longer, taller van. We have 8 months to turn it into a home we actually want to be in 24/7. In Ep. 1 we take you through our campervan layout in 3D, starting in Vanspace3D and then building a complete, detailed model from scratch in Blender. We cover what we're building, why, and the bits we still can't agree on.

What's in the design:
🪨 Real stone veneer on the walls and ceiling, plus lightweight stone behind the log burner
🔥 Log burner and fully electric setup (no more gas)
🚽 Incinerating toilet and indoor shower in a separate bathroom that doubles as a mud room
💻 Two dedicated workspaces for remote work
🛏️ Raised bed with a garage underneath for bikes, paddleboards and electrics
🧱 Raised floor for storage, pipes, cabling and extra insulation
🍳 Kitchen with oven, pantry, raised fridge and pull-out worktop
🌿 Terracotta, olive, copper, cork and rattan to get the Mediterranean cottage feel
🖥️ A full 3D model of the van built from scratch in Blender, so we can check every measurement before we cut anything
