Summary

What makes a good camera lens stand out from a mediocre one?  Today we are comparing some flat Sigma lenses to legendary lenses with 3D pop and character.  What to look for when buying a lens?  Does it really matter that a lens is flat?  Is the modern sharp and clinical look ok?  Some people prefer it, the cleaner crisper look.  Leica 15mm f1.7 vs Sigma 23mm f1.4, as well as the worst lens ever made the Canon RF 14-30mm f4-6.3 vs EF 85mm f1.2.
