Canon RF mount since day 1 has made questionable lens decisions. Opting for super high expensive primes, and budget hobo lenses that don't even allow light to pass through to the sensor. And even the expensive glass no longer has that magical character look that the old EF L lenses had. No 3D pop or microcontrast. So you can shell out $3000 for a very heavy lens and still not have the pop. The new RF primes 24mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, and 70-200mm f2.8 primes show that Canon has forgotten how to make good lenses.
