Why Companies Abandon Seemingly GREAT Ideas

Why do companies abandon great idea? They were on the right track, then they do a complete 180 and make worse products. Sony had the right idea with the x3000, then they go in a completely different direction. The ZV1 was decent, but the ZV1 II much worse. Nikon DL 18-50mm was a great idea, never even made it to production. Panasonic used to have tiny micro four thirds cameras, now they are heavier than full frame. Canon EOS R was ok, but the R6 removed a bunch of features and got worse in a lot of ways including color science. Huawei P60 Pro has a smaller sensor and worse slow motion specs than the P40 Pro...
