After nearly two weeks without a working laptop, we finally had a plan, track one down in Inverness and drive two hours to get it. Simple enough, except we nearly didn't make it the day before when the shop closed before we could get there in time. So first thing this morning we packed up, had a quick breakfast, and headed straight for Inverness. And honestly? Pulling back into a proper city after over a month in the Scottish Highlands was a genuinely strange feeling. We've been living mostly off-grid, wild park ups, village shops, no supermarkets, no easy access to anything and suddenly all of that was just... there. It made us realise how much you stop noticing the everyday stuff until it disappears for a while. We made the most of the trip, picked up the new laptop, grabbed some van upgrades from Range (hooks, a few small bits for Flossie), and finally made it to Go Outdoors for two extra 25L water containers to expand our off-grid water supply. More water means longer stays away from campsites and services, which is exactly what we want. All sorted by late afternoon, we drove back out of the city, found a quiet forestry park up and ended the day with dinner and an editing session.
