In this episode of Van Life Unfiltered Season 2, our plans for the day didn’t exactly work out… We woke up for our second day staying at Caledonian Cabins, hoping to finally get out on the water and make the most of this incredible location. But Scottish weather had other ideas. The day started grey, cold, and windy, with the loch looking far rougher than we expected. Still determined to give it a go, we attempted to get the canoe and kayak into the water… but within minutes, things went downhill fast. Water was getting into our wellies before we’d even started, and as soon as the kayak hit the water, it completely soaked us through. Safe to say… the adventure ended pretty quickly. Instead, we retreated back to the van, warmed up with hot drinks, watched a film, and slowed things down for the rest of the day. To finish the evening, we lit another campfire and cooked up a pretty interesting dinner while listening to the weather outside.
