Day 28 of our Van Life Unfiltered 30 Day Series. Our time on the Isle of Skye didn’t quite start the way we hoped. After being woken up at 3AM by another storm , with strong winds and relentless rain hitting the van, we barely got any sleep. By morning, the weather hadn’t improved at all. Still exhausted, we decided to move and try our luck in Portree, hoping to explore the village and reset the day. But things didn’t go to plan. We arrived… and didn’t leave the van for hours. The rain was constant, heavy, and blowing sideways, making it impossible to properly get out and explore. Eventually, after waiting it out, we caught a short break in the weather and managed a quick walk around Portree before heading off again. At this point, the lack of sleep and constant bad weather really started to catch up with us, so instead of pushing it, we decided to find a more sheltered park up for the night. The rest of the evening was spent slowing down, recovering, and trying to reset after one of the most frustrating days of the trip so far. ________________________________________________________________________ 🙌 SUPPORT US: Buy Me a Coffee – buymeacoffee.com/takeapeakatthis _________________________________________________________________________ 🔔 Van Life Unfiltered – 30 Day Series We quit our jobs, gave up our flat, and moved into our campervan to see if full-time van life is really possible.
