Day 27 of our Van Life Unfiltered 30 Day Series. After a few tough nights with bad weather and little sleep, we finally gave ourselves the chance to properly rest and it made a huge difference. Waking up feeling recharged, we started the day slowly before setting off towards the Isle of Skye, where we planned to spend a bit more time exploring at a slower pace. Before heading there, we stumbled across one of the most unique places we’ve seen on this trip, Manuela’s Wee Bakery. A beautiful, fairy-tale style garden bakery hidden away, with incredible food to match. Definitely a place we’d come back to again. After stocking up on supplies from a local butcher and shop, we made our way over to Skye. Even though the weather was still grey, it didn’t take away from the scenery, this place already felt special. Our first stop was Broadford, where we explored a small local market with some great food and unique finds. Later in the day, we headed to the iconic Sligachan Old Bridge, taking a short walk to the nearby waterfalls and taking in the surrounding mountain views. To finish the day, we found a peaceful park up surrounded by mountains, cooked some dinner and enjoyed a much calmer, more relaxed evening, exactly what we needed after the past few days. ________________________________________________________________________ 🙌 SUPPORT US: Buy Me a Coffee – buymeacoffee.com/takeapeakatthis _________________________________________________________________________ 🔔 Van Life Unfiltered – 30 Day Series We quit our jobs, gave up our flat, and moved into our campervan to see if full-time van life is really possible.
