Day 26 of our Van Life Unfiltered 30 Day Series. After another rough night with rain and poor sleep, the morning didn’t come easy. We stayed in bed longer than planned, feeling the effects of constant travel and the daily routine of filming and moving every single day. Eventually, we got ourselves going and hit the road in search of a place for breakfast, continuing our journey towards one of the final highlights of the North Coast 500. That highlight was Bealach na Bà. Flossie handled the climb like a champ, and once we reached the top, we were greeted with incredible views of snow covered mountains, at least until the clouds quickly rolled back in. After a quick breakfast and coffee at the viewpoint, we made our way down, marking what felt like the end of our NC500 journey. While the official route loops back to Inverness, for us this was the finish line, as we continued our trip towards the Isle of Skye. On the way, we stopped in the quiet and scenic village of Plockton, but with it being off-season, most places were closed. As the day went on, the tiredness really started to catch up with us. After nearly four weeks of constant travel, daily filming, and always being on the move, we could feel our energy dropping. We made one final stop at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, where we grabbed some lunch and had a walk around before calling it a day.
