Day 21 of our Van Life Unfiltered 30 Day Series. We woke up at a quiet park up by the river near Brora, starting the day early with a short run before having breakfast and continuing our journey along the North Coast 500. But today… the weather really wasn’t on our side. Freezing temperatures, strong winds, and bursts of rain and even snow made it one of the toughest days we’ve had on the road so far. Our first stop was Berriedale, where we quickly checked out the bridge and coastline before the weather pushed us back to the van. We then headed further north to explore the small and unique Fairy Glen (Latheronwheel), a quiet woodland area filled with a tiny fairy village hidden among the trees. Next up was Whaligoe Steps, where we spent a bit more time exploring as it offered some shelter from the wind. By lunchtime, we stopped near Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, but with the weather getting worse, it quickly turned into a short visit before heading back to the warmth of the van. To finish the day, we found a park-up for the night and decided to call it early, getting cosy inside after battling the elements all day on the NC500. ________________________________________________________________________ 🙌 SUPPORT US: Buy Me a Coffee – buymeacoffee.com/takeapeakatthis ___________________________________________________________________________ Locations in this video 📍 Brora 📍 Berriedale 📍 Whaligoe Steps 📍 Castle Sinclair Girnigoe ___________________________________________________________________________ 🔔 Van Life Unfiltered – 30 Day Series We quit our jobs, gave up our flat, and moved into our campervan to see if full-time van life is really possible.
