Day 12 of our Van Life Unfiltered - 30 Day Series. After a quiet night parked near Keswick, we woke up feeling refreshed and ready to explore more of the Lake District. Our first stop was a quick visit to the Whinlatter Forest Park visitor centre where we managed to find a small sticker for Flossie to mark that she had officially made it to the Lake District. Originally we considered doing a walk there, but the parking prices quickly changed our plans. Instead, we decided to drive deeper into the Lakes and head towards Ennerdale Water. There we started a 6.5 mile walk around the lake, surrounded by some beautiful and wild scenery. But about halfway through the hike the weather took a turn and the skies completely opened up. By the time we finished the walk we were absolutely soaked. After warming up inside the van, we drove off to find another quiet park-up for the night and settled in after another unpredictable day exploring the Lake District.
