After two years living full-time in our tiny Fiat Ducato campervan, we’ve learned that sometimes the best adventures begin when you leave the van behind. In this video (Part 1 of 2), we swap our wheels for hiking shoes and set off along a remote coastal stretch of Crete’s southwest coast, the part of the island where Angela grew up. Following the beautiful but challenging E4 Trail from Hora Sfakion to Kedrodasos, we pass hidden coves, cliff-edge paths and deserted beaches, rediscovering this beloved island through fresh eyes and realising that vanlife is tamer than we thought.
