Ever wondered what it’s like to climb to the very top of one of England’s most iconic cathedrals? In this POV adventure, I take on the incredible tower climb at Lincoln Cathedral — tackling a brutal 338-step ascent through narrow medieval passageways, tight spiral staircases, and hidden corridors high above the city. This wasn’t an easy climb. The higher we went, the tighter the spaces became. Steep stone staircases twisted endlessly upwards, with barely enough room to squeeze through in places. You’ll experience the full climb from my perspective as we navigate ancient walkways and climb deeper into the cathedral towers. But once we reached the top… The reward was absolutely unreal. From breathtaking panoramic views across Lincolnshire to incredible rooftop perspectives overlooking the cathedral itself, the views from above are genuinely some of the best I’ve ever captured with my Sony camera setup. Seeing the cathedral spires from this height — with the entire city stretching out into the distance — made every single step worth it.
