Sony A7V: They Concede Hybrid Line to Canon & Nikon

Sony has given up on its hybrid line with the A7 V. After realizing it can't compete with the new Canon R6III and Nikon Z6III and ZR at that price point, they decided to just do a modest update. Those Canon and NIkon offerings actually compete well with Sony's video flagships the FX3, A7S III and ZVE1. So that is where Sony will put its effort in. The A7V has some solid updates like better IBIS, faster readout, but the video specs fall behind with no RAW, same Sony colour science, no slog4 etc. If you buy today's gear through my affiliate links, Sony will put on a back brace and prepare for the leapfrog event with the A7S IV.
